f you find yourself unable to send a text message, try one of these solutions for common text message issues.
1. Is there enough credit?
One text message is made up of 160 characters. If the text message goes over the 160 characters, it will become a second page on your phone or a second text message. Therefore, be sure you have enough credit on your phone as you will be charged for each "page" or message sent.
2. Is the message type set correctly?
Smart phones enable us to send an SMS (text message). If you cannot send your text message, visit your SMS settings and ensure your outgoing message is set to SMS or text. Different phones carry different settings, so check your phone type and setting using our phone guide.
3. Does the phone have the correct Message Center Number or Service Center Number?
Phones purchased from other networks or overseas are usually set up with settings that work specifically for that network. This can be why some functions of the phone may not work with Digicel. One such setting is the Message Center Number which ensures your text messages are sent and received. Go to your SMS or Text message options and ensure the Message Center or Service Center number is set to +6857700003.
